The Permanent Committee of Labour Affairs in Dubai launched a training program on the “Principles of the Art of Public Speaking” for the supervisors of delivery riders from the companies of Talabat, Deliveroo, Cary, and Adecco in Dubai. The program aims to empower the best performing riders from within the worker community and to train them on the principles and basics of the art of public speaking, how to effectively communicate with others, and how to give presentations to their fellow workers. The program was launched for the first time in the Emirate of Dubai, and aims in growing worker-led initiatives and empowering exemplary workers within the riders community.
The program was presented by the Secretary-General of the Permanent Committee of Labour Affairs in Dubai Abdullah Lashkary who communicated with the workers in Urdu, to bring this knowledge to the workers. The first session was a pilot session to launch the program with the top 9 workers within the 4 companies who attended the program at 9 a.m. on the 6th March 2024 within the PCLA premises in Jebel Ali.
